Working with these nonprofits in January #GiveBack2013

I recently announced that I would donate some of my time every week to a different nonprofit. I’m calling it the Give Back Project 2013. HASHTAG: #GiveBack13

Many thanks to everyone for sharing about this project – the response has been AMAZING. Right now, I’m in the thick of reviewing requests and am grateful for behind-the-scenes help in following up and organizing the information coming in from nonprofits around the world. (Thanks, Erica!)

At the start of each month, I will post about the nonprofits I’m scheduled to work with by phone, email and shared documents to pinpoint one area in their online marketing where I can help them in a tangible and measurable way. Each month, I’ll blog some of the lessons learned, revealing some of the challenges and successes with the permission of each nonprofit.

I want to make sure the learning that takes place during this project is shared widely so many people benefit. We are all on this journey together.

Here are the nonprofits I’ll be working with in January.

Hopa Mountain – Hopa Mountain invests in citizen leaders of all ages in realizing the hopes and dreams for their hometowns.

Helping Hand Rewards – Helping Hand Rewards helps connect social enterprises that produce merchandise and businesses who are looking to enhance their rewards and recognition programs while improving their role in corporate social responsibility.

Haven House St. Louis – Provides the comfort of home and a community of support for families traveling to St. Louis to receive medical care

Community Greenhouse Partners – Community Greenhouse Partners is a sustainable urban farm that applies ecological design principles and engages community participation to grow wholesome food year-round that is provided at low-cost to the neighborhood, improving personal health while generating training, mentoring and employment opportunities.

There are still a few spaces left. If you represent a nonprofit, please go here to fill out the request form. Scroll down to see the orange form.

No thanks needed. This project is incredibly easy to back and I’m happy to provide support. You are making a difference not only for each organization that you help but also for the many people that those organizations can and will serve in part because of your generosity. I’m looking forward to watching your advice and insights at work around the web. Thanks for the shout-out!
