Have you ever heard the phrase “Garbage In, Garbage Out” or “GIGO?” What we consume – whether we are eating, watching or listening – shapes the way we think and feel.
I’m a firm believer in the power of audio and a lover of radio. Podcasts are my companions on long drives – across Alaska and now Arizona – when radio signals don’t reach me. Here are some podcasts that keep me company.
1. Managing the Gray with C.C. Chapman
C.C. Chapman’s podcast “Managing the Gra”y has been a staple on my long drives through Alaska when I lived there (try 7 hours in a car without radio reception most of the way). His podcast is about life and business and marketing, but mostly life. And I love it. If he isn’t podcasting frequently, I encourage you to listen to his archives.
2. The Accidental Creative by Todd Henry
Watch Todd Henry’s TEDx talk on creativity then listen to his podcast. He interviews people about and explores creativity and productivity. Thanks to Renee Fishman for the recommendation!

3. On Being with Krista Tippett
This podcast is “a spacious conversation.” Amazing. This link should lead you to her recent interview with Roshi Joan Halifax about Compassions Edge States and Caring Better.
4. Blogcast FM with Srinivas Rao
Interviews with Sri are like jazz. He feels the vibe, leads with curiosity, and gets unexpected stories out of his interview subjects. You can listen to Sri interviewing me, and yes, he got me talking about Metallica.
