What is the Future of Nonprofits? Learn More at SXSW

If you’re heading to SXSW this year, I hope you’ll join me and Beth Kanter – along with some other fascinating people in the nonprofit space – for the Future of Nonprofits Meet Up, http://schedule.sxsw.com/2016/events/event_PP91414
When / Where:   JW Marriott, Tuesday, March 15 , 12:30 PM, Room 208

I’ve been working with nonprofit organizations since the mid-1990s after serving as Executive Director for a domestic violence awareness organization in New York City in 1994. Today, I’m immersed in writing my next book, The Happy, Healthy Nonprofit, along with Beth. So nonprofit organizations, their culture, their work processes and the technology they use (or don’t use) is on my mind.

Beth and I will speak for 10 minutes about our take on Future Trends in the nonprofit and social impact worlds, sharing the stage with:

David Neff – author of “The Future of Nonprofits : Thrive and Innovate in the Digital Age”

Mat Hames – Alpheus Media – “The Power of Film in Social Good”

Beth Kanter/Aliza Sherman – Kanter Inc and WorkLifeTechZen – “The Happy, Healthy Nonprofit: Strategies for Impact without Burnout”

RC – MWR Legal – “Nonprofitable: How social good enterprises have changed the non-profit landscape”

Victoria Taylor – WeWork – “What’s the Future of where we work?”

Mark Horvath – Founder of Invisible People/Chief Marketing Officer Rescue Mission Alliance – “TBD: The Future of Nonprofit Storytelling

Casey Neese – Heifer International – Digital Engagement Manager – “What’s the Future of Fundraising with your Donors?”

If you’re planning out your time at SXSW, Add this Meetup to your calendar here.

Hope to see you there!

What do you think the future holds for nonprofit organizations in your community? Globally?
